when jonathan lauded lamido’s transformation agenda in jigawa
PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, recently asked the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdulai, to take youth development programmes to Jigawa State. He directed that the venue for the launch of the programmes should be the newly commissioned General Yakubu Gowon permanent National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp and Sports Complex, Dutse.
The presidential order was inspired by the peace and security that the president witnessed in the state during his two-day official visit penultimate week, a situation which made the number one citizen to commend Governor Sule Lamido and the entire people of the state for the development. Jonathan also expressed gratitude for the unity between the people of the state and the cordial relation between the government and traditional rulers. The understanding between the government and the citizenry, the president said, could be attributed to the good manifesto and policies of the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Lamido.
