(2)Instability in the provision of network:This is another challenge encountered by the learners.Without the network,learners cannot access the site.The network at times is not stable and this makes learners to be frustrated because for each assignment,there is a deadline for submission which must be met by them but due to poor network or instability,it becomes a major challenge for instance,one might have typed the answer to a question,which is a lengthy one but due to instability in network,everything typed will clear off.
(3)Inadequate fund:Thid is another challenge faced by the users of edutech402.blogspot.com.One has to subscribe before using the site or use voucher.Moreover,when assignment is given,it may be the time the learner does not have enough cash to visit the cyber cafe or subscribe.

LACK OF TECHNICAL KNOW HOW it is a major problem the students of DET402 faced in the using of the blogspot.The students never knew that before one could post a comment in the blog,one should have a gmail account.They spend days trying to post their comments which were not posted which led to some students not doing the assignment.This challenge is also seen in the posting of these comments as many didnt know where to post their comment and thereby posting them wrongly.One can conclude that this is a result of lack of technical know how. NETWORK FAILURE:this is another challenge faced by students of DET 402.the problem is from the service provider.Service may not be available when students try to post any piece of information on this blog.this is experienced when i tried posting my assignment on the blogspot,it dissapeared and i had to start over. FINANCIAL CONSTRAIN:This is seen in a situation where students do not have enough money to get phones that can enhance browsing system which led to visiting cybercafe which required more money. It deals with network services to function thereby making posting either slow or fast.When network services is bad due to poor or slow service provider or server,information will not be properly disseminated and this will result to not getting sufficient results...I.e inefficiency on the part of the user. Then, answers posted by students are not a good stratum for solving problems because some of the answers posted are not out rightly correct since most were not from reliable sources. Non-exposure of students to e-learning programmes: Due to the high cost of the computer and mobile phones,most students are not familiar with its use and functions thereby making them unexposed to e-learning programmes which makes the use of the learning platform a great challenge. Then,those in rural or under developed environment finds it very difficult to type on phones,computers,tablets etc. Time Management: This is another challenge facing the users of this learning platform. The challenges are listed below: 1) Network failure: this is one of the challenges faced when using the blog. As we no that network is unstable, it affect anytin we do on internent. If d information is publish and there is no network, it will delete and u will have to republish again. This is a big challenge. 2)inadequate information about d procedure to follow: initially, we were nt told that we will have to open an email account b4 we can publish d information, this caused a very big problem we then later discovered that we have to open a gmail acct. Opening the gmail acct was another problem on his own. 3)insufficient money to subscribe: anybody that didnt subscribe will have access, This is a challenge on the side of the learner because he or she will not be able to publish the information. I also faced the challenge, then there was no money to subscribe on my phone, i had to use a friend's phone to publish it, That is 4 someone using phone, but to someone who will have to go to the cafe, he or she will have to buy time to operate the computer, but due to insufficient money, he will not be able to do so.

Lack of internet facilities: Internet facilities such as phones, laptops, iPads etc are not available for most students and this makes them unable to access the Internet. 2. Lack of funds: it is not everybody that it is easy for to get money for browsing. As a student, there are times we run out of cash and even when we try to use our phones, we may not have airtime or megabytes to browse. 3. ReplyDeleteone of the major challenges faced by students is lack of knowledge.A lot of people didn't know how to access a blogsite and many students didn't have a gmail account.infact they don't even know they are to open one before they can publish a comment.this posed as a big challenge in accessing edutech402.blogspot.com
Another challenge encountered by students in accessing the site is Lack of finance.in order to access the site one must have money either to browse on phone or to go to a cyber cafe to browse.Because not all students could afford the money to browse on their phones due to the different networks and the cost of their browsing tariffs and not all students has a browsing phone.the cost of going to the cybercafe to browse is also a challenge.
Network failure is another challenge faced by users of edutech402.blogspot.com. It is d availability of the network that will enable students to be able to access the blogsite.the network at times especially the MTN's network is so bad that one gets frustrated especially as there is time limit to every assignment given to us and one may not be able to meet up with the time given due to network failure.
Time factor could be another challenge faced by users of edutech402.blogspot.com. The network gets jampacked due to a lot of students accessing the network at the same time thereby causing the posting of comments to be delayed and one does not have the choice than to leave it for another time after which one would have wasted time and the time may not be there for posting another day.

The challenges faced in using the edutech402 blog site are as follows:
INCOMPETENCY: Many students are not competent in the use of computer and therefore ,they are disturbed, discouraged ...because they find itdifficult when it wa introduced to carryout the assignment.
the GMAIL problem: this is also another challenge faced when posting on the learning platform,whereby the students had to create a gmail account,before they could carry out the assignment..not knowing to them. They also faced difficulty in opening the gmail account,before the assignment could be done.
NETWORK PROBLEM:the issue of network services also lead to delay in performing the work online. Many students were faced with the problem of bad network and were unable to carry out the assignment on time,leading top waste of time and money

A blog is a website that in which an individual or group records opinion and information on regular basis.there are many challenges faced using this blogspot in this course.
1.LACK OF SKILLS AND EXPERTISE;This is an important challenge faced by students in the course.due to the fact that no formal training was given before hand,many students find it difficult to open the gmail account.this has caused a big problem in the answering of the assignment given during lecture.
2.FINANCIAL BACKUP;The money needed to manage this blogspot is not readily available for students.90 percent of students are faced with this challenge.The airtime needed to get this internet working is not available and the airtime is the only way to access the internet.This is a big challenge.
3.POOR SERVICE FROM THE SERVICE PROVIDER;The service provider are not helping matters in this regard.We experience network problem almost all the time we try to access the blogspot.An example is this test as many were unable to post their comment or experience blank field.This is also a challenge for the students.
4.INSTANT INFORMATION;no information can be posted by the course lecturer and instantly gotten except one is online which s not possible.The application is not such that can enable this function.
5.TIME FACTOR;This is another challenge worthy of consideration.the time needed to fully operate this blogspot is not at students' disposal.Many students find it difficult to read the course note on this blogspot.This has led to loss of interest.The above are the challenges faced in using blogspot for this course.

ReplyDeleteAlthough using the edutech402.blogspot.com learning platform makes learning easier, less stressful and easily accessible (i.e you can access the site anytime anywhere), learning through this platform is faced with various challenges and they include:
1. Lack of access facilities: Access facilities such as PCs smart phones etc are not available for everyone. For example, majority of the learners do not have either a smart phone or a PC and this makes access to the site uneasy.
2. Lack of fund: Even those students that possess PC or in tech phones do not always have megabyte or airtime to access the site while those who do not have either most often lacks money to buy access tickets in cyber cafes
3. Network problems: At times, even when there is availability of access facilities, the network is either slow, totally unavailable or jam-packed and at times the problem comes from the internet service providers this makes it difficult to access the site.
4. Lack of technical knowhow: Majority of learners learning through this platform needs an expert to help them in accessing the site and experts are not always available and because majority are not computer literates, networking becomes a challenge

ReplyDeleteLack of knowledge on how to publish our first assignment:this was a major problem faced by users of this site being that we were not informed by the lecturer that we must have a gmail account before u can publish your work.
Lack of technical know how: this is another problem that brought about some student dropping the course for another course because they lack the knowledge of how to go about the assignment on net being that they are not used to it.
Lack of browsing phone: some student were not able to access the site whenever the lecturer directs us to the site while teaching, due to the facts that they don't have browsing phone.
Network problem: this is a major problem faced by users of this site and i don't think we will stop facing this problem. I for instance have been trying to post my work since yesterday all to no avail.

IBUKUN OLUWABUSAYO SUSAN.ENGLISH DEPARTMENT.EGL/08/3133.400LEVEL.A blog website can be defined as a medium in which am individual or member of a group pass across information at a particular time.Challenges can as well be defined as d problems or difficulties which a person or group faced in doing a particular thing just as we are faced with some in using blog website for edutech 402 assignment.There are challenges faced when using the edutech402.blogspot.com learning platform and some of it include the following.1.Network Problem is one of d major problem which we faced in d process of using blog site for the assignment.students will want to submit and network will hang it and wen it will be released it will come blank and one will have to type again.so network was just too bad to use for such assignment.2.Infamiliarity with the blog site is another problem.pupils were not so familiar with the blog site unlike the other social network dat are common around us.before we can answer the assignment question,we have to open a gmail account.3.Time unconciousness.the process of using blogsite does not give room for conciousness of time.what we are suppose to do in 15minutes if we use our hand to write it we use 2hours to 3hours when it is not an exam.4.There is no security because everything one comment on as his/her answer can be view by another person and the person can easily copy it out reframing it in his/her own English $produce it as an answer.So insecurity is another problem faced in using blog site.5.The last thing I will talk upon is d insufficient financial problem.some student do not have money and they must do d assignment.some do not use phone that browse and some don't have money to go to the public browsing centre.Money is one of d problem o that student faced.There are so many problems but this are the little for now which has been written above.

ReplyDeleteThough it is very good and helpful using the edutech402.blogspot.com learning platform because with this, we are able to get our notes on or before the next lecture and we are able to read ahead but the challenges faced by this platform are as follows:
1. Lack of internet facilities: Internet facilities such as phones, laptops, iPads etc are not available for most students and this makes them unable to access the Internet.
2. Lack of funds: it is not everybody that it is easy for to get money for browsing. As a student, there are times we run out of cash and even when we try to use our phones, we may not have airtime or megabytes to browse.
3. Network failure: most times, when one wants to access the Internet, the network may be jampacked, unavailable or too slow.this discourages one from using the learning platform.
4.computer illiteracy: not all students taking this course have the technical knowledge when it comes to the use information communication technology tools i.e. not all students are computer literate and students like this find it difficult to use the site.
5. Time inconvenience: in this case, if we have assignments like now, the Internet is jampacked and students have to do the assignment at night when they are supposed to be sleeping.

Despite the fact that the site has been there for students to make use of, there are challenges that learners face on daily basis. These challenges include:
1. Lack of mobile phones: there has been great production in different phone accessories. Most phones that are produced are well equipped and durable for users enjoyment . Majority of students do not have free accessibility to these phones such as smartphones, apple, ad etc to make learning easy.
2. Computer illiteracy: majority of learners are not computer literates so this makes the using of this platform not encouraging.
3. Bad network: the network failure discourages learners in making consistent use of the site to enhance learning through this platform .
4. Insufficient funds : majority of student do not have adequate form to access the site.
5. Time constraint: This problem is faced by the learners in the sense that some learners do not find it easy to access the site because of the time constraint facing them in their different areas of learning.
