Video-based instructions are Video materials that provide a unique opportunity to present, teach, and internalize authentic information—linguistic, cultural, and visual—about the target
    country.
Because these materials can be edited for presentation, they are also excellent venues for focusing our students' attention on specific details and for creating exercise materials based on the video itself. In short, judicious use of these material can substantially increase the quantity and quality of time spent on task with the
    subject matter.
The following are d functions of video-based instruction:
*To develop language learners into active learners within the limited time frame of a standard university course.
*To make authentic video materials essential components of the interactive FL classroom.
*To simulate "real life" environment to facilitate acquisition of linguistic and non-
    linguistic elements of communication.
*Though using authentic video materials present one way to integrate learning aggressively into our language classes, we need to consider carefully what materials we use and how we use them.

Flip teaching (or flipped classroom) is a form of blended learning which encompasses any use of technology to leverage the learning in a classroom, so a teacher can spend more time interacting with students instead of lecturing.
This is most commonly being done using teacher-created videos that students view outside of
class time. It is also known as backwards classroom, reverse instruction, flipping the classroom, and reverse teaching.

How to integrate video based instruction into flip teaching
The traditional pattern of teaching has been to assign students to read a section of a
textbook after-school, which will then be discussed the next day in class. Student should then be assigned an assessment for
homework to demonstrate their mastery of the topic.
In flip teaching, the student must first studies the topic by himself, typically using video lessons created by the instructor or shared by another educator. In the classroom, the pupil will then try to apply the knowledge by solving problems and doing
practical work. The role of the
classroom teacher is then to tutor the student when they become stuck, rather than to impart the initial lesson. This will allow
time inside the class to be used for
additional learning-based activities, including use of differentiated instruction and project-based learning.
Flip teaching allows more hands-on time with the instructor guiding the students, allowing them to assist the students when
they are assimilating information and creating new ideas.

Video based instruction is designed to engage learners in active constructive, authentic and co-operative learning.
Flip learning is publishing and distribution platform that allows instructors authors and publishers to invert or genify traditional educational content and resources.
video Based instruction can be integrated into flip learning through the following ways:
Lectures should be recorded live using screen capture software.
Instructors should make room for questions one one for more clarification.
It should be allowed to have enough time in the lesson time table for students to get acquainted with it usage.
Through recording and uploading video lessons for your students at their our convenient time
It should be integrated into the curriculum
The student should be taught how to access the platform in order for them to know how to use it else it will be a wasted effort.
By making the video package to be easy enough for students to understand and not complex
Recorded lectures can be uploaded into social medias like face book twitter etc.
There should be room for comment and reply on sited they are posted to.
It should be made in such a way that will encourage the use of other technological devices such as handhelds e.g phones and i-pads for easy access
BENEFITS OF INTEGRATING VIDEO BASED INSTRUCTION INTO FLIP LEARNING
    1. It allows students to work on their own pace.
    2. It helps to reduced frustration and lost after the class work.
    3. It can be viewed and review anytime and any where
    4. It is replicable.

    ANSWER
Video base instruction are video materials that provide a unique opportunity to present, teach and internalized authentic information- linguistic, cultural and visual- about the target country because this materials can be edited for presentation, they are also excellent venues for focusing our students’ attention on specific details for creating exercise materials base on the video itself.
Flip learning provides educators with the knowledge, skills and resources to implement flipped learning. Flip learning also allow students to express their modularized text books from perspective-one of a student and one of a character in a multilayer role playing stimulation.
VIDEO BASED INSTRUCTION CAN BE INTEGRATED INTO FLIP LEANING THROUGH THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
    (1) By using the appropriate video clip to back up the lesson that the teacher plan to teach
    (2) By recording the live lesson using service capture software then post it online for student to access, recording on tapes for student to watch. Recorded lecture can be shared on social networking sites, it can also be uploaded on your tube for students to view. In this situation the role of teacher will be change from presenter of content learning coach.
    (3) By making the video package to be easy enough for student to understand and not too complex.
    (4) The video should be recorded in a way that even when the student is at home he/she would have access to video and there won’t be much difference between the classrooms learning flip learning.
    (5) It should be in such away that it will encourage the use of other technological devices such as handhelds e.g Phones and i-pads for easy access
    (6) Teacher can use video materials as well as student can use it for presentation so as to allow them to experience their modularized text books.
    (7) By making authentic video materials essential components of the interactive flip learning classroom.
    (8) By crating video clips which are short, precise, simple, interesting then subsequently fix them into the flip learning mode or uploaded on social networks like face book, twitter and u-tube.
    (9) There should be a particular time fixed for student to meet the teacher one on one in the classroom, may be the student will have question to ask.

The flip via the video lesson of pioneer, video is just one example of an evolving flipped teaching sensiblity.
Flipping is the ast of identifying rote or proceedural element of a lesson, shifting this repetitive content to a medium not bound by teacher availability and empowering students take an active role in their education.
Flipping is a natural complement to a 21st Century learning environment. The flipped instruction today is defined by a teacher's willingness to help students learn how/when they see, fit release control of the classroom experience and engage in a process of finding the best way to reach and respond to students individually.
The appropriate medium to convey information beyond class (video, pondcast, worksheets, books, articles, etc.) is selected base on content, community need and training style.
The term flipped teaching merely highlights a method untangling student learning opportunity from teacher available. The flipped opportunity is the prospect that an educator can move beyond the mechanic of content-delivery to the art of teaching to the students in the classroom situation.

ne method of enhancing student engagement is to cultivate a culture of achievement in the classroom where instruction is challenging, students feel comfortable asking questions, and students are expected to do their best. For instance, a teacher might create an end-of-the-year academic goal for a classroom as a whole or a specific goal for each individual student. In order to show mastery of the goal, students must complete a research project or an oral presentation. For example, students might be asked to research a critical political issue such as immigration impacting the 2008 elections. Teachers need to select a goal that is challenging but attainable and find creative ways for students to work toward achieving the goal. Monitoring student progress throughout the school year also will keep students focused academically and invested in their learning. When students feel challenged, they are less likely to be bored and disengaged (Akey, 2006). Teachers should aim to create a culture in the classroom where learning is “cool,” and asking questions is not only okay but expected. It may take some time to develop this type of environment, but it can be done by setting clear, high, consistent yet attainable expectations for all students. High quality instruction—one that is rigorous, aligned with content standards, and uses instructional strategies to meet the academic needs of all students—also is a key factor in promoting a culture of engagement and achievement in the classroom (Weiss & Pasley, 2004).
